Terms & Eligibility

Please read the following eligibility requirements and competition terms carefully before submitting your application.

Eligibility Requirements

1

Age

Applicants must be between 17 and 39 years oldat the time of application. Applicants aged 17 may be required to provide appropriate parent or legal guardian consent.
2

African Heritage

Applicants must have at least 50% African heritage. Applicants may be asked to provide information or documentation to support their eligibility where reasonably required.
3

UK Legal Residency

Applicants must be legally resident in the United Kingdomand must have the legal right to remain in the UK for at least one year after the date of the competition.

Availability

Applicants must be available to participate in auditions, rehearsals, training, official events and the Grand Finale on dates communicated by Miss Africa Great Britain.

Commitment

Applicants must be prepared to commit the necessary time, effort and professionalism required throughout the competition.

Personal Development

Applicants should demonstrate a positive attitude, willingness to learn and a commitment to personal development, leadership and representing African heritage positively.

Talent

Applicants may be required to submit a talent video or other supporting material as part of the application or audition process.
8

Height and Weight

There is no minimum height or weight requirementto apply for Miss Africa Great Britain.

Previous Experience

Previous pageant, modelling or beauty competition experience is not required.

Criminal Record

Applicants must not have any criminal convictions, whether spent or unspent, and must not have any pending criminal charges or criminal proceedings.

Accuracy of Information

All information provided during the application and selection process must be accurate, truthful and complete. Providing false or misleading information may result in disqualification.

Audition

Audition Process

Applicants who proceed to the audition stage will be required to pay an audition fee of £30.

Payment of the audition fee does not guarantee selection as a finalist. Applicants will be assessed according to the competition's selection process and criteria.

Finalist Requirements

Sponsorship

Applicants selected as finalists will be required to seek £200 in sponsorship. This contribution goes towards participation and training costs associated with the competition.

Rehearsals and Training

Finalists are required to attend scheduled rehearsals, training sessions, workshops, photoshoots and other official activities communicated by the organisation.
3

Commitment

Finalists are expected to demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, respect and commitment throughout the competition period.

Titleholder Obligations

1

Conduct and Moral Character

The titleholder is expected to maintain high standards of conduct, professionalism and moral character throughout the year of service.
2

Appearance and Presentation

The titleholder must comply with reasonable appearance, presentation and dress requirements when attending official Miss Africa Great Britain activities and events.
3

Official Appearances

The titleholder must attend scheduled appearances, events, engagements, community activities, media opportunities and other official commitments communicated by the organisation.
4

Representation

The titleholder agrees to represent Miss Africa Great Britain and its platform positively and professionally during the year of service.

Pregnancy During Reign

The titleholder must not be pregnant during her reign. If the titleholder becomes pregnant during the reign, she will be required to relinquish the title and the 1st Runner-Upwill assume the title for the remainder of the reign, subject to the organisation's official rules and procedures.

Other Pageant Systems

During the reign, the titleholder must not enter, compete in or represent another pageant system without prior written approval from Miss Africa Great Britain.
7

Exclusivity

The titleholder agrees to observe any reasonable exclusivity requirements relating to competing pageants, official representation and use of the Miss Africa Great Britain title during the reign.

Organisation Requirements

The titleholder must comply with reasonable rules, responsibilities, schedules and requirements communicated by Miss Africa Great Britain throughout the year of service.
9

Transfer of Title

If the titleholder is unable or unwilling to fulfil the responsibilities of the title, the organisation may transfer the title in accordance with its official rules and procedures.

Terms of Application

Application

Submission of an application does not guarantee an audition, finalist position or title.
2

Selection

Miss Africa Great Britain reserves the right to assess applications and select applicants and finalists according to its competition process.
3

Verification

The organisation reserves the right to verify information provided by applicants and finalists. Failure to provide accurate information may result in disqualification or withdrawal of selection.
4

Photos, Videos and Supporting Material

By submitting an application, applicants may be required to provide photographs, videos or other supporting material for assessment and competition purposes.

Participation

Applicants selected to participate must comply with reasonable instructions, schedules and requirements issued by Miss Africa Great Britain during the competition.
6

Conduct

All applicants and finalists are expected to behave respectfully and professionally towards other contestants, staff, organisers, sponsors, partners and members of the public.
7

Media and Publicity

Applicants and finalists may participate in photographs, videos, interviews and promotional activities connected with Miss Africa Great Britain.
8

Personal Data

Personal information submitted as part of the application will be handled in accordance with the organisation's applicable privacy policy and data protection practices.
9

Changes

Miss Africa Great Britain reserves the right to make reasonable changes to competition dates, schedules, activities, requirements or procedures where necessary.

Finalist Requirements

Applicants who are selected as finalists must comply with the finalist requirements, including sponsorship, rehearsals, training and other scheduled activities.
11

Titleholder Obligations

The successful winner agrees to comply with the obligations and responsibilities associated with holding the Miss Africa Great Britain title throughout the year of service.
12

Acceptance

By submitting an application, the applicant confirms that they have read and understood the eligibility requirements and terms applicable to the Miss Africa Great Britain competition.

All fees and payments made in connection with the Miss Africa Great Britain competition are non-refundable.
