Published • 4 June 2017

Sarah Jegede, Miss Africa Great Britain 2016, paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Osun State during her official charity mission to Nigeria.

The visit formed part of Sarah's programme of community engagement as reigning queen, where she met government officials and community leaders to discuss education, youth development and charitable initiatives benefiting local communities.

During her mission, Sarah also visited schools within Osun State, where educational materials, including school bags and stationery, were presented to pupils as part of Miss Africa Great Britain's commitment to supporting education and empowering young people.

Miss Africa Great Britain encourages every reigning queen to design and deliver a meaningful charity project within her country of heritage. These projects create lasting benefits for communities while promoting education, leadership and social responsibility.

Sarah's visit demonstrated the positive impact that Miss Africa Great Britain queens continue to make both within the United Kingdom and across Africa through service, leadership and charitable work.
